Honor’s Magic V6 Will Grace MWC With A 7,000mAh Battery

Published on:

Honor is launching its next foldable, the Magic V6, much earlier than usual. Normally, the Magic V series makes appearances around July or August. But we should expect an unveiling on March 1, 2026 at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) happening in Barcelona.

The phone has already been logged in China’s CCC certification database, with a battery size reaching 7,000mAh capacity. It’s split across two cells, and quite powerful, given how ultra-thin foldables sacrificed battery life to preserve thinness. Here’s what else to expect.

Honor’s new foldable will come for MWC 2026

Honor has already begun sending out invites to MWC Barcelona, as spotted in a user post on X. It’ll happen at exactly 1-2 PM Central European Time (7 AM Eastern Time). It’ll also run from March 2 to March 5 at Palau de Congressos de Barcelona, in Barcelona, Spain.

We are delighted to invite you to HONOR’s launch event at MWC Barcelona 2026. Join us as we host the global premiere of the HONOR ROBOT PHONE and HONOR Magic V6, alongside our latest all-scenario flagship devices. By creatively integrating embodied Al with the smartphone, HONOR is leading a forward -looking exploration into the evolution of Mobile Al.

The event is where we’ll see the Magic V6. The foldable phone has gotten 3C certification already, which is what any phone needs before it can be sold in China. The device must first pass the testing for safety and electrical standards.

Not much has been leaked about its specifications. But the document released on Weibo mentions a 7,000mAh capacity, or roughly 7,150mAh split across dual batteries in a 2320mAh + 4680mAh configuration.

The previous Magic V5 model had a 6,150mAh capacity, so it’s 1,000mAh more than its predecessor. There may be other models with different storage configurations carrying a 6,700mAh capacity.

Besides that, there are rumors of a 200MP main camera and Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset on the device.

We’ll also see Honor’s new Robot Phone at the event. It’s supposedly a camera-focused phone with a gimbal system that pops out from inside the device, and supports movement tracking.

Honor may have more tricks up its sleeves

Interestingly, Honor mentions unveiling other new “all-scenario flagship devices”. All-scenario may point to products that work across every part of daily life.

It could be another phone or a tablet, wearable, laptop, home, work, fitness, and AI device. So, it won’t just be the Magic V6 and the Robot Phone we’ll see at their MWC boot.

If all the leaks are true, the Magic V6 will closely rival top phones like the Oppo Find N6, which has also received certification and is launching with a 6,000mAh battery, and the Galaxy Z Fold 7.

Although Samsung’s Z Fold 7 only has 4,400mAh to brag about, it has the upper hand in seven years of updates and its One UI software with AI. Honor seems to be fastening its seatbelts for the AI race, per their press invite. Only time will tell if they’re cut out to win.
