Sure, we’re just past the quarter mark for the year, so a lot could still happen, but there was enough activity this week to change the outlook for some.
Fantasy Critic League – Like Fantasy Football, but for Video Games
As usual, before getting to the transactions for the week, we will take a moment to glance at the scoreboard as it stood at the end of week thirteen.

The Standings for Week 13
Starting from there, we had two releases land this week.
- South of Midnight has released!
- [Picked by Play Forever Mwahahaha (Shintar)]
- Now has a score of 78
We had an initial score of 82 for South of Midnight last week, but that later sank down to 78.1.
Meanwhile, Bhagpuss rolled in strong with his second release for the season.
- Blue Prince has released!
- [Picked by Pretty Blue Fox Games (Bhagpuss)]
- Now has a score of 91.2
Anything over a 90 is generally a win, and every point over 90 counts double, which initially put Bhagpuss in the position of having the highest scoring game on the board so far this season.
But then more reviews came in and both titles sank a bit, with Blue Prince dropping to 90. Still, a very strong showing and only behind Split Fiction as the highest scoring title so far this season.
That left the week fourteen scoreboard looking like this.

Standings for Week 14
Shintar moved up to fourth position and Bhagpuss to fifth, pushing the rest of us down the stack. I managed to hold onto 6th place, though I have the lowest score of anybody with three titles released and am still estimated to end up in last place overall. My main hope right now is that I have a safe counter pick while others… may not have chosen as wisely.
We also had a batch of updates that hit during week fourteen.

There seemed to be a bit of confusion around Moonlighter 2 as it wavered between early access and an actual launch, basically ended up back where it started at the beginning of the week. Otherwise, the other updates nailed down ship dates for titles.
That left us with the following ten titles on the upcoming list.

Upcoming for Week 15
There is actually nothing slated to launch in week fifteen… but week sixteen looks to have three titles lined up.
Finally there were the bids, of which we had three this past week, all uncontested.

Both Bhagpuss and Shintar sought to expand their portfolio while I dumped F1 2025 in favor of Donkey Kong Bananza, a Nintendo Switch 2 first party post-launch title with a high hype factor. Will that translate into a big score? We shall see. I invested $18 in it… an unheard of sum for a cheapskate like me. But you don’t get any score for leftover budget. (Though I think maybe you should get half a point per leftover dollar… wishful thinking.)
