Kevin James Goes on His Italy Honeymoon Alone in ‘Solo Mio’ Trailer

“I can’t start over again…” “You have to try! Don’t be afraid.” Listen to her! Angel Studios has released an official trailer for a new Kevin James comedy movie titled Solo Mio, which is just Italian for Only Mine or Mine Alone. It’s scheduled to open in theaters everywhere starting February 2026 early next year, playing as more of a mainstream release from Angel. “This is a film that people need to see in theaters. The world just needs fun, heartfelt” movies now, they say. Right? After being left at the altar in Rome, a man decides to go on his honeymoon tour alone anyway, traveling around Italy and meeting a new woman who runs a cafe. A Kinnane Brothers movie – starring Kevin James as Matt, Jonathan Roumie, Kim Coates, and Alyson Hannigan, with Julee Cerda, and Nicole Grimaudo as Gia, the Italian woman he meets along the way. “Kevin James & Jonathan Roumie bring heart, humor, and originality to this uplifting tale of rediscovery.” This looks very cheesy, obviously, but not that bad – at least it looks like they were trying to have some fun.

Solo Mio follows Matt (starring Kevin James), a man whose dreams of a picturesque Italian wedding are shattered when his fiancée leaves him at the altar. Matt embarks on his planned honeymoon across Italy alone anyway, immersing himself in the country’s vibrant culture, food, and beauty. Solo Mio is directed by filmmaker brothers Charles Kinnane (director of The Human Experience, “Sound Guy” series, Home Team, Syndrome K, Water Brother: The Sid Abbruzzi Story) & Daniel Kinnane (director of Home Team, Water Brother: The Sid Abbruzzi Story) also known as The Kinnane Brothers. The screenplay is written by James Kinnane, Patrick Kinnane, and John Kinnane. It’s produced by Mark Fasano, Jeffrey Greenstein, and Kevin James.
