Netflix has assembled the cast for its 6-part limited series Pride and Prejudice, based on the classic Jane Austen novel, which has started production in the UK.
Rufus Sewell (The Diplomat) will star as the wise patriarch Mr Bennet. Cast as Bennet sisters are Freya Mavor (Industry) as Jane, Heartstopper‘s Rhea Norwood as Lydia and newcomers Hollie Avery and Hopey Parish in their debut roles as Kitty and Mary, respectively. Louis Partridge (Disclaimer) will take on the scheming Mr Wickham, with Jamie Demetriou (Stath Lets Flats) as the pompous Mr Collins, Fiona Shaw (Killing Eve) as the fearsome Lady Catherine de Bourg, Daryl McCormack (Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery) as Jane’s beloved Mr Bingley and Siena Kelly (Black Mirror) as his sister Caroline.
They join previous cast leads Emma Corrin as Elizabeth Bennet, Jack Lowden as Mr. Darcy and Olivia Colman as Mrs. Bennet.

Netflix’s Pride and Prejudice, described as a faithful adaptation of the novel, is written by Dolly Alderton and directed by Euros Lyn . The duo executive produce with Corrin as well as Laura Lankester, Will Johnston and Louise Mutter for Lookout Point. Lisa Osborne produces.
